I have never used it, but am now thinking about it as an alternative DAW. I love Sonar, like Cubase, tolerate Studio One, and use Mixbus for final mix/masters. I have downloaded Reaper. Not as fancy as White Tie, but it scales well on both small and big monitors (incl. Mulitple monitors) and the grey dominant theme is easy on the eyes during long sessions. On the topic of themes, I'm new to Reaper - do you folks recommend keeping the default theme until I'm comfortable?
Hi everyone,
I'm kinda new to Reaper but I just became the 'designated Reaper guy' at work. So I figured, I have to determine which extensions to install on our machines, create shortcut sets etc.
Also people seem to not like the GUI so much, so I'm considering picking a 'standard' GUI to use.
From what I've gathered so far, I'll probably use SWS-Extension for improved usability and I'm looking into some themes, namely LCS versions for now (which, as I understand, is an improved version of Imperial, right?).
Are there any other extensions I should check out? Any experience (good and bad) regarding certain themes?
